You are invited to the opening of exhibition of Synagogue Maribor “Here Is Where Death Worked Itself to Death…”: the Slovenian victims of Auschwitz, which will be held on 23 April 2024 at 5:00 PM in the premises of the Municipality of Poljčane (Bistriška cesta 65, 2319 Poljčane). The exhibition will be presented by its author Boris Hajdinjak. The exhibition is on display from 5 April 2024.

The exhibition tells about approximately 2,300 people from Slovenia who were taken to this camp. The majority were Slovenians, but among those deported there were also around 350 Jews, at least 78 Roma and at least one member of Jehovah’s Witnesses. For around 1,300 of them, Auschwitz is the place of death.
