You are cordially invited to join us on Friday, 26 April 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at the Synagogue Lendava, to the opening of the exhibition A story of two transports. Jews in Međimurje and Prekmurje during the Holocaust, by Boris Hajdinjak. The opening will be part of the ceremony to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the beginning of mass deportations of Jews from Prekmurje. At the same time, a memorial plaque will be unveiled on the site where the Jewish school stood. The solemn ceremony and unveiling of the memorial plaque will be honoured by the President of the Republic of Slovenia, dr. Nataša Pirc Musar.

The exhibition A story of two transports, which was prepared as part of the Never Forget international project, tells the story of the long history of Jews in the Prekmurje and Međimurje areas, the rise and prosperity of the Jewish communities in this area, their contribution to the development of cities and towns in both regions, and the sad the fates that befell them during the Holocaust.
