This merry day of culture represents a traditional annual cultural manifestation, with which we commemorate the birth of one of the most famous Slovenian poets – France Prešern. On December 3, cultural institutions invite visitors to free tours of plays, exhibitions and concerts, lectures, guided tours, workshops and various other cultural events.

In the Center of Jewish Cultural Heritage, we invite visitors between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the Open Doors Day. As part of it, it will be possible to visit the former medieval synagogue in Maribor and Irene Zemljič Gajser’s art exhibition Emanation of Symbols for free.

The Irene Zemljič Gajser exhibition will also be available on guided tours at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., when visitors will be introduced to the artist and her latest painting opus. In it, the author embarks on an interesting artistic journey into the world of Jewish symbolism.
