Once again the Maribor Synagogue joins the all-Slovenian project “This Merry Day of Culture”. This project is traditionally organized on 3 December – the birthday of one of the greatest Slovenian poets France Prešeren.

Visitors to Maribor Synagogue are cordially invited to visit us on Sunday, 3 December 2017, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. On this day, we will organize an open doors day providing free entrance to former synagogue and temporary exhibition of selected works by Ciril Horjak – dr. Horowitz. Ciril Horjak is one of most prominent contemporary illustrators and caricaturist in Slovenia.

At 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. we will organize also guided tours of the synagogue with the projections of short informative film on the history of former synagogue. At 12 a.m. a projection of the film “Marpurgi” (2012, director Boris Jurjaševič, production Casablanca) will follow respectively.
