Slovenian Female Inmates in Nazi Concentration Camps and stories of women from Prekmurje, a lecture by Boris Hajdinjak in Murska Sobota Regional and Study Library.

Boris Hajdinjak will give a lecture about his exhibition about Slovenian female inmates in Nazi concentration camps, to which he will add the stories of women from Prekmurje. During World War II, around 21,000 camp inmates were deported from what is now Slovenian territory to the concentration camps of the Third Reich. It is estimated that around a quarter of them were women, most of whom were interned in the Nazi concentration camps in Ravensbrück and Auschwitz.

The lecture has been organised as a part of the EDJC 2025 in Slovenia.
