On Wednesday, 22 November 2023, at 6:00 p.m., we invite you to the former Jewish mortuary in Rožna Dolina (Vipavska cesta 16b, 5000 Nova Gorica), for the opening of the exhibition Jews in the Gorizia Region.

It is a transfer of the exhibition of the Center of Jewish Cultural Heritage Synagogue Maribor, which we also be translated into Italian for the European Capital of Culture 2025 Nova Gorica – Gorica and added a chapter on the medieval period. The exhibition will be opened by dr. Renato Podbersič and Director of Center of Jewish Cultural Heritage Synagogue Maribor Boris Hajdinjak.

The exhibition, which presents a brief history of Jews and the Jewish community in Gorica, heralds the start of the Little Jerusalem project, part of the official program of the European Capital of Culture 2025.
