Forward to the Past 3

Forward to the Past 3

22. 03. 2021
– 27. 03. 2021

Dear lovers of museums and galleries!

An unusual year is behind us, which presented us with many challenges. Slovenian museums and galleries were forced to close their doors several times in the past year, but despite this, they successfully carried out their work as guardians of heritage and opened their digital doors to their visitors. In the summer months of 2020, the idea of an online campaign entitled Forward to the past was born, with which we are going to the third round this time. 2021 is a jubilee year. We are celebrating the 200th anniversary of the founding of the first museum in Slovenia, quite a few museums are celebrating their anniversary, and our country is also celebrating its anniversary. This is precisely why we decided to theme this year’s first campaign with the history of Slovenia, which goes back further than just 30 years ago, when we declared independence.

Thus, we invite you once again to search online and on social networks between 22 and 28 March 2021 for the keyword #forwardtothepast, which this time is joined by the keyword #Slovenia, and discover the rich heritage preserved by Slovenian museums and galleries.
