The European Days of Jewish Culture (EDJC) is a pan-European project that, for the twenty-first year in a row, offers visitors an in-depth insight into individual aspects of Jewish culture and heritage.
This year’s central theme is JEWISH JOURNEYS, and while it may seem contradictory, it may be more relevent than ever. Travel and migration are an important part of Jewish history. Ever since the expulsion from the land of Israel in 70 CE, Jews migrated and lived in different lands in search of religious tolerance and economic opportunities.
The national coordinator of the project is the Center for Jewish Cultural Heritage Synagogue Maribor.
Visiting and viewing all events, except the theater play “Wajdi Mouawad: Birds of a Kind”, is free.
Event organizers reserve the right to change and cancel the program. Visitors are asked to follow current announcements on the websites of individual organizers.
