The Synagogue Maribor has been participating in the European Heritage Days project for many years. This project, which is a joint programme of the European Union and the Council of Europe, is in Slovenia coordinated by the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia.
The Slovenian edition of the European Heritage Days are each year devoted to different topic; the topic of this year is “Walls of our Past, Foundation of our Future”. During the implementation of the European Heritage Days 2025, the Synagogue Maribor will organise open doors days inviting all its visitors to visit the former Jewish synagogue of Maribor and inform themselves about its history. At the same time, visitors will have the opportunity to see a special thematic exhibition on Jewish languages and learn more about the similarities and differences among them.
The entry to the Synagogue Maribor is during the open doors days free of charge.
