On Tuesday, 13th of September 2022, a lecture by Boris Hajdinjak, director of Synagogue Maribor, entitled Dante, Jews and Slovenes, was held in the reading room of the Prva gimnazija Maribor.

On the 701st anniversary of Dante’s death, Boris Hajdinjak presented the students with the period in which the great Italian poet lived, and his importance throughout the ages up to the present day. He took them from the Middle Ages to modern times and offered them a very in-depth and varied view of the poet and his era.
