Dear friends,

We kindly invite you to help shape the programme of this year’s implementation of the pan-European project European Days of Jewish Culture, with which the organisers across Europe strive to highlight the diversity and richness of Judaism and its historical significance in the local, regional and national environment.

The central theme of the EDJC 2025 is “People of the Book” (you can read more about the theme here). The International Day of Jewish Culture Committee encourages the organisers of the EDJC to honour the role of words in connecting us to the past, guiding us in the present, and inspiring us to imagine a future in which society is more understanding and inclusive. Of course, as organisers, we are still autonomous in preparing events, so our activities do not necessarily have to be tied exclusively to the chosen theme of the current EDJC project.

EDJC 2025 officially begins on Sunday, 7 September 2025, and in Slovenia, we will implement the program as part of this project until mid-October.

Join us with your events in commemorating this year’s European Jewish Year and help spread knowledge about Europe’s Jewish cultural heritage.
