On the night of 9th-10th of November 1938, the Nazis burned, smashed, and destroyed hundreds of Jewish synagogues, shops, and other buildings throughout the Reich. At the same time, many Jews were killed, and tens of thousands were taken to concentration camps. This night is known as Kristallnacht.
On the anniversary of Kristallnacht, we will pay tribute to the memory of its victims with a screening of the film An Iron Box, followed by a conversation with director Nils Olger.
We kindly invite you to join us on Wednesday, 9th of November 2022, at 10:30 a.m. on the Prvi oder (Prva gimnazija Maribor, entrance from Krekova ulica).
The conversation with the director will be led by Jernej Lorber.

The event, which was supported by the Municipality of Maribor, is organized as part of the Stone Tears project.
