A story of two transports. Jews in Međimurje and Prekmurje during the Holocaust is a travelling documentary exhibition by the Center of Jewish Cultural Heritage Synagogue Maribor, which will be on display at the Park of Military History Pivka from 7 January to 3 February 2025.

The exhibition A Story of Two Transports. Jews from Mežimurje and Prekmurje during the Holocaust was created in 2023 as part of the Never Forget project, which brought together the Jewish Community of Čakovec, the Municipality of Lendava, and the Center for Jewish Cultural Heritage, Synagogue Maribor. The exhibition, which tells the story of the long history of Jews in the area of ​​Prekmurje and Mežimurje, with a special emphasis on their sad fate during the Holocaust, is equipped with extensive interesting photographic and other archival material, and its central part is a showcase in which Theresa Fürst’s blanket from the Auschwitz camp and Lajos Blau’s notebook are exhibited. The author of the exhibition is Boris Hajdinjak, director of the Center of Jewish Cultural Heritage Synagogue Maribor.
