Lecture

We would like to invite you to a lecture by Aleš Maver PhD, titled From Caiaphas to Judah Ben-Hur: The Jews in ancient times on movie screen
The lecture will take place on Thursday, 22 November 2018, at 18:00 in the Maribor Synagogue.
Main subject will be Jews from 1st century BC to 1st century AD, and how are characters like Ben-Hur, Caiaphas, Herod Antipater, and Jesus portrayed in movies.
Aleš Maver teaches antiquity subjects on Faculty of Arts, University of Maribor and Latin and theology on Theological Faculty, University of Ljubljana. He is also a translator, articles writer for newspaper Dnevnik and editor of magazines Tretji dan and Časnik.
